Hope to see you there!

New Patterns finally ready….. New Silk Yarns arrive

Since I only have 2 events, this month I have managed to polish off these patterns:

Edinburgh Sweater

Edinburgh Sweater-so named because Savannah asked me to

Various cowls and shawls and scarfs:

I am binding off tonight a very nice fat lace shawl and hopefully will have it blocked by I Knit Fandango…

Some, not all of the new silks:

Silk with Sequins-

Silk with Beads and Silk Lurex-

Silk Lace Yarn-

Plain Silk Yarn-

Have also been dyeing of course but that’s another story.

New yarns available on http://www.debonaire.artfire.com and patterns on http://www.ravelry.com/ehdknits in due time.

P-lush next

Amazing time last week at EdinYarnFest- what a great show! Added bonus of getting to spend more time in Edinburgh with Savannah and right before her birthday. She took some great pics:

Now, it’s off to P-lush this weekend at the Ricoh Arena

Needless to say have spent even more time dyeing up some new colours, including lots of sparklies which have been quite popular this winter:

And the Pantone Spring 2015 colour- Marsala or my version at least:

Happy New Year! New shows, new yarns….

Happy New Year! Hope it was a wonderful one;I did my usual fall asleep before the fireworks….

Looking forward to Waltham Abbey Wool show and Sandown this month, then it’s off to Paris for Aiguilles en Fetes followed closely by Unravel.Sooo, I’ve been dyeing up a storm. Here’s some newbies-

then there’s some fat lace/skinny sock-

next, Bfl/nylon high twist sock:

then some silvery stellina sock:

and a little bit of lace:

Clearly had a blue /green couple of days.

loving the ultra fine merino lace weight (100gm=800m). It has a micron count of 17.5 and is incredibly close to cashmere in feel. I have finished my Christmas pine tree shawl- but need to properly photo it-

Also loving the Bfl/Silk yarns. My most popular sweater of the year was knit in the 4 ply version:

Named the wedding sweater as I knit this during the 2 week frantic lead up to Alex’s wedding. It’s pretty mindless except for a cable running up each side. Very wearable and the yarn makes it special.

Waltham Abbey Wool Show is next Sunday, the 18th. There will be a wonderful group of vendors so well worth a visit.

Last week’s dye pot- off to Exeter Creative Stitches

Lots of sock yarns, but also some lace, especially fat lace- 600-800m/100gm:

and a couple of sparkles:

New Patterns:

so off to Exeter Creative Stitches, then Alexandra Palace, then Glasgow for School of Yarn!
